A calm culinary oasis in the heart of Berlin with flawless precision. einsunternull's menu focuses on locally sourced ingredients with a contemporary twist on German fare.
"Respecting nature with real passion" is the ethos of its kitchen and is prominent in every dish being served. Clean and simple lines are present throughout its dining room and cuisine. Not a fork, glass or ingredient is out of the place when your dish is presented to you.
The mushroom bread course is sliced with such precision, with thin layers of mushroom perfectly lined on your plate. Each morsel of mushroom is lightly coated with bread sauce with onion blossoms delicately placed on rotation on the plate. Although simple in design, the flavours were powerful yet refined.
The sparerib was succulent accompanied by the acidity of the potatoes and the calming effect of the chamomile.
A lovely smokiness from the ash accompanied by a hint of brine from the green moss makes a wonderful and light pairing, which interestingly resembled the taste of oysters and the ocean.
A refreshing and savoury dish with delicate coffee granules draped over chicory which provides a nice crunchy texture.
The courses were paired with a few lovely wines from some small producers along with a boutique German whisky from Albert 1911 aged in double wood, French and American oak.

Rounding the meal off, a lovely sweet beetroot dessert served along with some petit fours.
A fantastic meal in a very relaxed and design chic setting. Enjoy lunch in the sunlit space upstairs or dinner in the cellar and garden downstairs. A beautiful illuminated corridor will guide you down to the cellar dinner spaces.
Much care is taken into the preparation and presentation of the food. It will certainly not be long before a Michelin star is awarded to einsunternull.
