A lot has certainly changed in this world since I began writing this blog. We have now evolved from wonderful dine-in experiences to simple delivery and takeaways. However that does not mean we cannot still get our culinary fix and continue to explore the world through our taste buds - at home.
One of our first forays into this new HK delivery dining scene, after recently moving to Hong Kong, was a tasty delivery from Bep Vietnamese Kitchen. BEP literally translates to "homey kitchen", similar to a street-side cafe you would see in Hanoi or Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam.
The menu was vast, filled with many fresh ingredients from both the land and the sea. I must say we were spoilt for choices.
I am always craving for Clams no matter what country I am in, no matter which meal or time of day. To my delight I spotted a delicious steamed Vietnamese Clam dish in coconut juice and lemongrass. The clams were so fresh and divine and closely mimicked what I would imagine it to taste like during a wonderful dine-in experience.

A good friend mentioned that we MUST try the Roast Suckling Pig and that we did. The Roast Suckling Pig was tender, succulent and juicy with the crispy pork crackling on the outer bits. The honey mustard hoisin sauce dip added an extra lift to the dish. The pork skin was still crispy when it arrived though I am sure we would get an even better crispy texture eating it straight from the kitchen when dining in. A perfect reason to revisit when we are allowed to convene again.

Another Vietnamese cuisine favourite are the Steamed Crab Rice rolls with fish cakes. The crab rice rolls were nicely flavoured and accompanied by slices of Vietnamese sausage, fresh chopped lettuce, fish cakes and a fish sauce dip.

The Morning Glory with Thai garlic fish sauce was equally tasty though the portion could have been slightly bigger. Needless to say, it was still a wonderful meal - authentic Vietnamese cuisine delivered still piping hot for in-home dining. I look forward to when we can visit the restaurant to get the full experience.
