Situated on the roof terrace atop the gardens of Le Musée du quai Branly, Les Ombres hosts the most beautiful and panoramic night views of Paris overlooking the Eiffel Tower.
If you are looking for the best place to see the Eiffel tower's top of the hour sparkling lights, Les Ombres will not disappoint. Set within an all-glass dining room with an open terrace, you have the best ambiance to take in Paris by night. The illuminating lights of the Eiffel tower is a perfect pairing to great cuisine by Executive Chef Cyril Lenoir. The menu is designed in a contemporary French style with inspiration from flavours of the Americas, Asia and Oceania.
During a recent visit, we enjoyed a lovely selection of starters, from the Burgundy escargots with watercress foam....
...Marbled foie gras with pear sauce...
The main dishes were much richer and fuller flavour.
...Royal Sea Bream with smoky chorizo sauce and potato...
...Langoustines with ceps and chanterelles in a langoustine bisque.... The nuttiness of the mushrooms and the creamy intensity of the langoustines paired well with the 2007 Chateau La Tour Margaux.
By the time dessert came around, we were all in a proper food coma, so much so that I can't honestly even tell you what this beautiful dessert was called.
All in all it was a lovely evening. If you're looking for that perfect spot in Paris with a great view of the Eiffel tower by night, you should book yourself a table at Les Ombres.
